No Two Kids Are The Same,
But They All Like To Play

At Inclusive Play our vision is to design, develop and manufacture quality products that enable children – no matter what their ability – to play together.

Who We Are

Founded in 2006 and based in Loanhead, Edinburgh, Inclusive Play was established with a single, clear purpose: to ensure that no child is excluded from play.

We are proud to be the only play equipment manufacturer dedicated entirely to inclusive play.

Our journey began in a shed, where founder Paul developed the world’s first wheelchair-accessible roundabout. What started as a determination to solve a problem has grown into a globally recognised product range. Today, we manufacture hundreds of accessible roundabouts each year and offer an extensive catalogue of inclusive play equipment used by children and communities across the world.

Since 2018, the company has experienced substantial growth, enabling us to expand our facilities, strengthen our research and development capabilities, and deliver projects internationally. Despite this growth, our mission remains unchanged: every single play area should be fully inclusive.

What Inclusion Means to Us

Inclusion is not an add-on. It is a design principle.

For us, inclusion means:

  • Physical accessibility for wheelchair users and those with mobility impairments

  • Sensory-rich environments for children with autism and sensory processing needs

  • Cognitive accessibility through intuitive, understandable design

  • Opportunities for social interaction between children of all abilities

  • Intergenerational spaces that welcome families and carers

True inclusion ensures that individuals can play together – not separately.

We believe inclusive design benefits everyone, not only those with additional needs.

Our Mission

Our mission is bold but simple:

For all children and families to be able to enjoy play experiences together and those with special needs feel as included as anyone else. Making fully inclusive play the standard, not the exception.

We aim to:

  • Lead innovation in inclusive design

  • Continue investing in research and development

  • Collaborate with communities to create meaningful play experiences

  • Influence policy and industry standards

  • Become the number 1 supplier of Freestanding Inclusive & Intergenerational play equipment globally.

We do not believe in minimum compliance. We believe in raising expectations.

Our Responsibility

As a manufacturer, we recognise our responsibility extends beyond product design.

We are committed to:

  • Sustainable sourcing and responsible material selection

  • Long-lasting products that reduce environmental impact

  • Supporting communities through accessible design

  • Promoting awareness of inclusive play across the industry

Play shapes childhood. Inclusive play shapes society.
