Many of the families Inclusive Play have worked with have highlighted the difficulty in finding leisure facilities they can enjoy as a whole family unit.
As a result, we developed the PiPA checklist through invaluable consultation with disabled children’s charity KIDS and Occupational therapists from both the UK and USA to help families find inclusive play areas all over the UK – and soon on a more global basis too!
There are two types of PiPA status: Community and Destination. All smiley faces on this map represent play areas which have been assessed and achieved PiPA status.
Community: This status is awarded to inclusive play areas which have nearby local amenities, and is marked with a blue smiley face.
Destination: This status is awarded to inclusive play areas which also provide on site changing facilities and refreshments, and is marked with a green smiley face.
If you’d like to find an inclusive play area near you simply type in a postcode, or use the drop down menu.
