New ‘Orbs’™ delights all at Saltex 2009

Showcased at Saltex this year, was the new prototype product from Inclusive Play (UK) Ltd, Orbs. Despite being only 45cm high and 35cm in diameter, these eye-catching and delightfully simple items attracted lots of interest. By rocking the tactile orb, set on a traditional spring, the tinkle of music is created which charmed everyone.

Designed for its sensory appeal and ease of use for children of all abilities, the current family of three different-sounding Orbs will be available to purchase by the end of October. Advance orders are being taken, however, as interest at Saltex was extremely high. Orbs can be purchased as individual items but a group setting gives even greater play value and a far more striking visual impact.

The Orb itself is manufactured from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) which is extremely durable and impact-resistant but the product becomes more tactile when the lovely Inclusive Play ‘smiley’ is machined into the top of the Orb!
The team is currently working on more sounds to capture within the Orb and these will be added to the product portfolio by the end of the year.
